On 31 March, The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Portuguese Republic Boris Sahakyan presented his letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic.

The official ceremony was followed by a brief conversation, during which the President of Portugal wished the Ambassador success in his mission, expressing hope that his appointment will serve to further strengthen and develop the friendly and cooperative ties between the two countries and peoples.

The interlocutors highly valued the significant contribution and role of the famous Armenian businessman and philanthropist Galouste Gulbenkian as a bridge in strengthening ties between the two states.
